Canaccord Genuity Fund Management (“CGFM”), which is a trading name of Hargreave Hale Limited, has been the appointed investment manager of the Hargreave Hale AIM VCT since its inception. CGFM is a leading small cap UK fund manager with a team of 17 fund managers and analysts.
As at 30 June 2022, CGFM had £4.5bn of funds under management across eight unit trusts/OEICS and the Hargreave Hale AIM VCT.

CGFM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Group Limited and incorporated in England and Wales with company number 03146580. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority with firm reference number 209741. CGFM receives an annual management fee of 1.7% of the net asset value of the Hargreave Hale AIM VCT. CGFM is not paid a performance fee.
Canaccord Genuity Wealth Limited (“CGWL”), another group company, acts as the administrator of the Hargreave Hale AIM VCT and as the custodian of the assets of the VCT. CGWL is incorporated in England and Wales with company number 03739694 and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority with firm reference number 194927. CGWL is entitled to an annual aggregate fee of £195,000 (plus VAT) for its provision of administrative services. In addition, CGWL is entitled to a fee of £30,000 per annum in relation to its appointment as the custodian of the assets of the VCT.
The VCT management team
The Hargreave Hale AIM VCT is managed by Oliver Bedford, Lucy Bloomfield, Anna Salim and Archie Stirling, with additional support from the rest of the CGFM team.
Oliver Bedford graduated from Durham University with a degree in Chemistry. He served in the British Army for nine years before joining the Investment Manager in 2004. After initially working as an analyst in support of the VCT, Oliver was appointed as co-manager in 2011 and then lead manager in 2019.
Lucy Bloomfield joined the Investment Manager in August 2018. Prior to this she spent eight years as an analyst and UK Small & Mid-cap fund manager at BlackRock before her most recent role as a European Small & Mid-cap fund manager with Ennismore Fund Management. Lucy graduated from Durham University in 2007 with a degree in Economics and is a CFA charterholder.
Anna Salim joined the Investment Manager in April 2018. Her prior experience includes European lower mid-market private equity investments at Revolution Capital Group and equity research at Cormark Securities. Anna graduated from the University of Toronto and holds an MBA from University of Western Ontario. She is a CFA charterholder.
Archie Stirling graduated from Bristol with a BSc in Economics, joined KPMG LLP in 2013 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2016. Archie joined Canaccord Genuity in September 2021 following five years working in transactional services.
